Alumni Ar. Nischala Akkisani, B.Arch, 2019 batch has started her professional career at Total Environment Building Systems Pvt. Ltd. as an Assistant Manager.
BMSSA alumna Khyati Solanki from 2015 B.Arch batch has achieved the 7th prize in the prestigious "The Earth We Share" Photography Competition, Season-2. Trained as an architect and passionate about wildlife photography, Khyati's unique perspective combines her architectural insights with her love for nature. Her inspiring approach “Architects can change their surroundings, but wildlife photographers must adapt to capture the best of what exists" — reflects her adaptability and creative versatility. Her achievement underscores the diverse talents of BMSSA alumni who excel beyond traditional boundaries, blending professional skills with personal passions.
Alumni Dr. Roopa Lakshmi Bhat, from B.Arch 2015 batch, who has been the Lead Architect for HSCC and NPCCL in designing 100-bed hospitals across various locations in India. The successful completion of these projects reached a historic milestone as they were inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, symbolizing a significant step toward building a healthier India.
Alumni Sagar Kandal from 2018 B.Arch batch and Ankritya Diggavi from B.Arch 2019 batch participated and won in the Rising Heat Design Competition 2024, a prestigious platform focused on innovative design solutions to address the global challenge of rising temperatures. This competition encouraged participants to develop sustainable, climate-responsive architectural designs that mitigate the impacts of urban heat and promote environmental resilience. The task given was to design an innovative heat shelter called “Neralu” that tackles the urban heat crisis head-on. Our Alumni demonstrated creativity, technical expertise, and a profound understanding of sustainable architecture through their innovative solutions. The winning Entry will be displayed at the Ajim Premji University, Bangalore.

Alumni Shwetha D (B. Arch, USN No. 1BQ16AT108) was selected and joined for Indian Institute of Management kozikode (IIMK), PGP MBA, and her overall percentile in CAT exam is 95.07, Its one of the premier business schools in India and being accepted there is a significant achievement. It’s known for its rigorous academic programs as well as valuable and enriching experience.
BMSSA Alumni, Mr. Saiswarop bearing USN. 1BQ14AT040 (2014 Batch) is selected for Indian Army as an QSArchitect with the Lieutenant Rank. His selection took place between 20th to 24th Mar 2021 at 18 SSB Allahabad East. He will be joining core of engineers (regiment) after 49 weeks of Training at Officer's Training Academy (OTA) Chennai. It’s a proud moment for BMSSA!!!
Ms. Rituparna Pati B.Arch student bearing USN No. 1BQ16AT085 had won Second place in International Design Competition. The conceptual design and write-up submission on the design style of Bauhaus is the design and writing competition 2021 organized by “Artuminate Competitions” on the theme, Geometric and abstract featuring little emotion with no inclination towards history. It is an arts and crafts movement emphasizing on function. Artuminate is looking for a conceptual design and write-up submission on the design style of Bauhaus.
Article, “A Framework for Enhancing the Spatial Urban Form of Informal Economies in India: The Case of Krishna Rajendra Market, Bangalore” was published in SAGE journal by alumni Ms. Shikha Patel, bearing USN No. 1BQ17AUD16.
Volume Zero - An International Platform for showcasing works of upcoming designers, it offers a unique perspective to young architects and design enthusiasts. Volume Zero have been hosting various open design and idea competitions to encourage and inspire young, talented designers and students from around the globe. It has hosted an international competition on “The Little Big Loo Rethinking Public Toilets – 2020 from 13th April to 31st July 2020. In this competition our BMSSA Alumni student Mr. Sudarshan P K (1BQ12AT036) B.Arch. student had successfully demonstrated his work and selected for Top 50 Entries.
Mr. Tarun Mitra, USN No- 1BQ16AT111, from 9th Semester had participated in Ride for a new normal virtual Ride/Run, and completed 212 KM in cycling which was held on 28th and 29th November 2020.
Ms. Shreya T L, USN No. 1BQ16AT105 had participated in Allofarchi Illustration competition, which was held on 04th Oct 2020. This competition was to come up with a best illustration of an architectural space given. Her nostalgia was the major inspiration behind this Design.
Group of four students namely Shreya M.K, USN No.1BQ16AT103 Sai Krishna, USN No.1BQ16AT094, Krithika V, USN No.1BQ16AT112 Shreya T.L,1BQ16AT105 have been participated in the 54 hour design competition.
Two participants namely Aparna J USN No - 1BQ16AT044 and K S Roopali bearing USN No- 1BQ16AT050 have participated in “Design For Her” – 80 hour design challenge, which is organized by Hindware, NASA India. The challenge begins on 06th Dec 2020- Sunday at 15:00 hrs, submission deadline is given for the participants on 09th Dec 2020 – Wednesday @ 23:59 hours.
