The admission is done in accordance with eligibility criteria prescribed by Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) as well as the Government of Karnataka, through the Department of Collegiate Education. The reservation policy of the Government and University are strictly followed.
The admission committee scrutinizes the received applications, examines the supporting documents, verifies the eligibility criteria, notifies the shortlisted candidates, receives the demand drafts for fees and admits the candidates. All enquiries regarding admission are addressed by the committee members. Applications are also available online at the respective websites.
Students who have excelled in sports, differently- abled students, children of Ex-servicemen and children of employees of the institution are given due representation in admission. The School also ensures admission to the students from the lower strata of the society.
BMSSA adheres to the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) for Undergraduate and PGCET for Masters Programme is prescribed by the Council of Architecture as a compulsory criterion for taking admission to any Architectural College or course in India. GATE scores are also considered for Master admissions.
Students seeking admission in BMSSA, belonging to all categories, of General Aptitude Tests (CET, COMEDK) and Management category are required to take up the NATA tests. Scores are compiled and students are selected based on analysis of the scores of 12th, General Aptitude Tests and NATA.
